Federal Government Is Source of Credit Crunch?

According to http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/reports/ir/ir_expense.htm, the Federal Government spent $451,154,049,950.63 (That's $451 BILLION!) in 2008 to pay the interest on the Federal Debt. That is to fund a debt of $10,635,772,096,222.74 (That's $10 TRILLION!)

And this is just the INTEREST!!!!!!!!!

Note that on the blog is a calculator which shows "We The People's" debt that the government has created for us. Notice the estimated amount per U. S. citizen.

"Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other."--Ronald Reagan
